St. Lawrence Lowland

Geographical Regions

The St. Lawrence Lowland is a very tiny geographic region. The St. Lawrence Lowland has a very fertile soil, lots of trees, and a water source (the St. Lawrence River). This is very good for agriculture and forestry, which are a big part of the economy. There are also large amounts or minerals like iron, zinc, copper, lead, coal, and silver.

Most of the jobs in this region involve agriculture, as the climate is rainy, which is good for growing crops. The weather of the region also allows it to have the longest crop growing seasons in Canada. There is water for drinking, crops to eat, weather that isn't extreme, plenty of jobs in the mining, agriculture, and forestry industries - it doesn't get too much better than this. A large part of Quebec's population lives here, as proof that the geography of the St. Lawrence Lowland is ideal for settlement.
