Interior Plains are a vast sweep of plain. In the US, Interior Plains run between the Appalachian Mountains and the Rocky Mountains. In Canada, the Interior Plains run between the Canadian Shield and the Rocky Mountain. Interior Plains extend from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean. This region is quite dry, so most of the towns and cities of this region are by a water source.

Most parts of this region can support agriculture and in the parts that are too hot for crops, cattle are raised instead. There are lots of important resources in the area, such as: gold, zinc, coal, oil, uranium, and natural gas. These resources also provide jobs in mining. There are some attractive features in this region, so people many people settled here. As long as you are near a water source, the region offers all the resources you need to survive.
